At Ucha.se and eduboom, we are on a mission to make learning engaging and accessible for every student. We create video lessons in clear and understandable language and already support thousands of students across Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, and Italy.
As we continue to grow and expand internationally, our internal technology needs to grow with us. We are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Lead to assess our current setup, define the roadmap for our digital upgrade, and ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.
This is a true "player-coach" role. Because we keep our team lean, you and your one-person IT team will handle everything technical - from architecting the company’s entire cybersecurity strategy from scratch to making sure the office printers and meeting room screens work flawlessly.

What will you do in Ucha.se?

Shape the Cybersecurity Conception: Own, design, and implement our complete cybersecurity framework and defense strategy from the ground up. You will define what security means for Ucha.se and eduboom globally
Assess & Upgrade Infrastructure: Evaluate our current IT setup and design a roadmap to modernize our systems, ensuring they support a growing, international team securely.
Protect Our Assets & Data: Establish robust incident response plans, data protection measures, and secure access controls (IAM/Zero Trust concepts) tailored for an expanding international EdTech environment
Lead & Mentor: Directly manage and guide our one-person IT team, balancing daily support needs with long-term security and upgrade projects
On-Site Office Tech Support: Roll up your sleeves alongside your team member to handle day-to-day office needs: troubleshooting employee laptops, fixing printer jams, maintaining the local network, and setting up conference rooms for seamless hybrid meetings
Vendor, Compliance & Budget Management: Source and manage relationships with external hardware/software vendors, while ensuring our security practices align with modern compliance standards

Skills and experience we value

The Cyber Security Architect: You have a strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS controls). You don't just follow security rules; you can create the entire vision, policies, and architecture for a company
The "Zero Ego" & Builder Mindset: You enjoy the challenge of high-level security planning and system architecture, but you are equally happy troubleshooting a computer or setting up a TV in a meeting room. No task is beneath you
Hands-on Technical Depth: Strong background in both secure IT infrastructure management and cybersecurity tools (endpoint protection, network security, threat detection, identity & cloud security for Google Workspace)
Pragmatic Leadership: Experience managing at least one person, with a collaborative leadership style that empowers your team member
Business-Oriented Tech Approach: You understand that technology and security should enable the business, not block it. You can explain security risks and technical concepts to non-technical colleagues in simple, clear language
Proactivity: You don't wait for things to break or get breached. You look ahead, run risk assessments, anticipate bottlenecks, and eliminate security vulnerabilities before they become problems
Language Skills: Fluency in Bulgarian and a good working level of English to coordinate with international teams or vendors
